A Poem – (Love and Triumph) 2020

Today I let go of all the burden, the ties and the hurt and I am choosing forgiveness.
Today I embraced something and that something is remembrance and I remember that we loved.
If your going to remain in my memory
I’m choosing to remember you and how much we loved.
That’s not to say that our love didn’t go without heartaches and sometimes long breaks, still we loved.
I will always remember what our love taught me and that is forgiveness.
I tell myself it doesn’t matter how you choose to remember us what matters to me is that I remember us and how we loved.
The truth is simple, it was never easy for us to love or to be loved even before us,
Still we loved.
So today I let go of all the burden, the ties and the hurt when I thought of you because
I choose forgiveness and I remember that we loved.

Who Am I?

Who am I? A question I ask myself often.

As years pass and times change so have I. Today I am a mother of 4. 34 years old and a partner still navigating everything life, love and the world. My world especially!

I am a woman who is fierce and passionate. A deep thinker. A woman that loves whole heartedly I am someone that inspires and creates meaningful connections. I am sensual and playful. I am me, Marata.

Welcome to my world of thoughts, memories and truths. My truths.

I am so glad y’all are here with me. I thank you.

Marata xx
